The plan is to row and paddle the two lakes and a section of the Seneca River in stages, with camping and rest in between. The start will be on Saturday, July 5 in Watkins Glen with travel northward on Seneca Lake, then traveling east on the river and finishing southward on Cayuga, the ending to coincide with the Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, July 12 in Ithaca, New York. You may wish to complete the entire route or enjoy sections of it.
Catch the watery flavor of the Finger Lakes with 7 days on the two largest bodies of water in Central New York.

Not able to commit the time for the whole route?
Consider joining us for a day or days of your choosing.
For instance, many people plan to join us for their own custom designed challenge...
On July 12:
Start at Sheldrake for 18 miles, or at Taughannock for 8 miles,
or the Ithaca Yacht Club for 3 miles to finish in Ithaca 2:00-4:00 p.m.
We envision a flotilla of boats parading into Ithaca's Inlet during the Dragon Boat Festival.
Tailgate party for all participants at Treman Marina at 4:00 p.m.
